About the Company

Representing an investment of more than AU$33.5 billion, the Woodside operated North West Shelf (NWS) Project facilities constitute Australia’s largest oil and gas resource development and currently account for more than one third of Australia’s oil and gas production.

The NWS Project is a joint venture between six major international companies (BHPB, BP, Chevron, MIMI, Shell and Woodside). It is one of the world’s largest liquefied natural gas (LNG) producers, supplying condensate and gas to Australian and international markets from offshore gas and condensate fields in the Carnarvon Basin off the north-west coast of Australia.

For many years, North West Shelf (NWS) LNG and pipeline gas sales have been jointly marketed, but now the NWS Project participants are also individually lifting and marketing uncommitted natural gas production from the NWS Project on an equity basis.

A key component of the equity lifting arrangements is the establishment and operation of an office of the Lifting Coordinator to oversee and manage the lifting of both pipeline gas and LNG on behalf of the Lifters. The Lifting Coordinator organisation works closely with the Lifters and the Operator of the NWS to ensure the optimised lifting of LNG and pipeline gas throughout the lifting year. The LNG Scheduling Manager will be an integral part of the office of the Lifting Coordinator, reporting to its head. For queries about the role, please contact:
