    We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, skilled and experienced Recovery Case Worker to provide practical and psychosocial support to the Social Housing Tenancy (SHouT) Team clients. This position also assists the Team Leader and Case Manager to facilitate and maintain sustainable networks, partnerships and stakeholder groups within the local community to promote cooperation and collaboration in facilitating successful outcomes for the client group and the overall project.

    Some of the responsibilities are (but not limited to):-

    • To provide direct outreach, support and practical assistance to clients referred to the SHouT Team under direct guidance of the SHouT Team Leader.
    • Actively participate in adopting a culture and language of hope and optimism
    • Facilitate clients progress towards achieving recovery goals, according to recovery support plans, including but not limited to accessing relevant health and community support services, leisure and recreational activities, and medical and allied health services.
    • Participate in case conferences and interagency meetings in a collaborative and consultative manner.
    • Assist with administrative functions, including maintenance of client database and reporting requirements.
    • Must be able to work occasional evening (till 6pm) and willing to work some weekends as part of a team roster

    The position requires a commitment to the delivery of flexible, innovative, non-clinical, client focused support in a community environment and requires the successful applicant to be or have:

    • Empathetic and client focused with excellent communication skills
    • Demonstrated knowledge/experience working with diverse client groups including those with mental illness and complex needs and a demonstrated understanding of providing practical individualized support (living skills development, social linking and transport training) within strengths based recovery-oriented framework.
    • Relevant qualifications, (minimum Cert III in mental health) or working towards, and/or experience in the Human Services sector * Current police check and clean driving licence

    If you are looking for an opportunity to work in a private practice in a contractor position, this job may be for you. Clients will be allocated to you, and all you need to do is to be professional, keep up to date with letters to the GP’s and keep the clients happy by helping them to solve their problems.

    PsychHealth will allocate a variety of clients with a range of difficulties. Generally, clients appreciate your help. You will be given support and feedback to start with as you are learning about what is important when working in a private practice.

    You will need your own ABN, indemnity insurance and police clearance. Two to 3 half-days per week is the ideal to start with and you can expand your times as your numbers build up. Clients need consistency. I am hoping to get someone who is keen to stay for at least a couple of years. I would prefer to have a fully qualified clinical psychologist at the practice but will also consider a clinical psychologist registrar. I am a board approved supervisor, and am prepared to discuss providing supervision for endorsement.

    About the business and the role

    Electrical Fitter Mechanics

    We are looking for qualified electricians to fill a 3 month position based in Brisbane, QLD.

    Working in Hotels & Taverns in SEQ, Brisbane & Gold Coast areas.

    Successful applicants will be required to work away from home for periods of time.

    Work consists of repair & maintenance (fault finding), commercial renovations, new construction, additions and upgrades to existing areas and general compliance – Emergency Light Testing, Test & Tag and RCD testing and auditing.

    While running small jobs, successful applicants may be required to direct and supervise small teams while still performing on the tools work. Previous experience within either a Supervisor or Managerial role would be considered favorable.

    Upgrading of existing switchboards and electrical systems is a big part of what we do, so applicants must be able to demonstrate proven experience in the above applications and take pride in their work. We require hard working electricians to provide quality work.

    The position to be filled will have up to 3 months of work, with potential long term employment opportunities. Positions are required to be filled asap.

      Good clown story. I saw some of these spooky clown stories on the TV news recently. It seems the reporters are easily fooled by them, as everybody just happens to have their cameras rolling where the spooky clowns appear.
